Ellu's Arts and Crafts

Having time at home with the kiddos has really brought out my creative side :). When I'm free, I am usually searching Pintrest for my next creative idea, and this was one thing I got from there - our very own foosball table made from a used carton of macarnoi and some cloth-hangers, construction paper and sticks. Ellu actually enjoyed playing with it :)

Some other things we've created include a Farm House, which was also pretty fun to build with Ellu. I love seeing him play with things we have actually created together and seeing him have fun with it is a thrill. I can see now, along with his interest of trains and reading books, Ellu is also really into crafts....I guess he takes on after his mama!

 

June 9th:

I also wanted to make Eliakim a kite of his own that he could fly when we went to the park. To be honest, I've never had a kite or flown a kite myself, but it was something at the back of my mind I have wanted to try. So we used some items we found around the house, garbage bag, streamer/ribbon, and some sticks, and lots and lots and lots of tape, lol, and  with the help of my special helper Eliakim, voila! We had ourselves a kite. We tried to fly it in the backyard with little success but I guess it wasn't that windy, so we will try again on a more windy day.

Eliakim's Soccer

So I finally got Eliakim enrolled in soccer during the summer and he was on the timbits team in Riverside South with Ottawa United Soccer. He enrolled a few classes late, but none the less, he enjoyed it! He made some friends and learned soccer skills, but having him on a sports team was really fun to watch! I hope to continue in the following years, enrolling him in sports activities that he will enjoy! We will see if soccer remains one of them :)

2021 Kingston Family Vacay

My absolute blessings. When we drove into Kingston, I saw an outlet mall that I wanted to go to when we returned. On our way back to Ottawa, we stopped by and it was much smaller than I thought but they had some pretty sweet deals. I bought 2 winter jackets for $20/each and clothes for the kiddos. I even got some work clothes for myself :) Two of my favourite men. So, about this night...we decided to go out in the town. But no one really knew where to go. We all got in our cars and drove around downtown Kingston. There was absolutely no parking downtown, and since no one had a specific plan to go anywhere, Ori and I wanted to eat dessert somewhere...but we all ended up back at the hotel. There was a decent restaurant at the hotel so we ordered poutine, what we were craving. They didn't have it on the menu but said they would make it for us. This is what it was. Ok, but not the real thing. BEST WESTERN hotel with the kiddos! They had a blast spending time with eachother in our room,

My Birthdate

 It is 12:08am on Wednesday August 31, 2022 and I am officially 38!!! Ahhh, when I think about the number it scares me a little bit...where did the time fly??? But I am ever so grateful for everything that God has allowed in my life and I have to reflect and share. Where do I even begin? 38 years of God's mercy and favour, protection and love over my life. He has blessed me with wonderful, God fearing, selfless, wise, kind and hardworking parents. I pray for God's continual blessings over them and their lives! AMEN Then, Neguissie, a husband that God gave me, to love and live with and share life with. Share 2 beautiful children with - Eliakim and Elkanah, God's blessings and precious gifts to us.  He has blessed me with a beautiful family and amazing and wonderful siblings, Selam and Zelalem; extended family like Titi and Radney and Ori, and countless friends and family. And countless other things...to God be all the glory. I would not be here today if it was not for God. H
