Ellu & Kanah

On July 27th, our princess Elkanah celebrated her 2nd birthday! Thank God. He has given us a sweet little girl who is so full of life, vibrant, full of energy, loves to jump and run, is very independent, and is her own boss! She is determined, and won't stop till she gets what she wants. We love you and God bless you Elkanahye. Cake was made by my friend Selam who is owner of Lelina Bakery. The decorations were mostly from Party City and most of the items were on sale...so not much money spent for décor as it was only us because of COVID-19, no other guests came.    Dear Elkanah, You will be two years old in a few weeks and I just want to tell you how I feel. This summer, we have really been braving it out...and actually taking the kids out to swim at the beach! And they LOVE it, especially Elkanah who really enjoys being in the water. Her favourite thing to do is jump in the water and land on her bum. So we ended up buying them life jackets from Walmart ($20 each) so that I don't panic every time they enter the water. Other than Moonie's Bay, we've also really enjoyed and frequently visited: Rideau River Provincal Park. This was taken at Britannia Beach on a cold and rainy day, but kids were determined to get in the water! And when we do go to the beach, Neguissie likes to go early in the morning around 9 or 10am when its not so busy with too many people.
