2021 RECAP

This year has been such a ride! I can't even begin to describe where to start from. Looking back at 2021, so much has happened: 1. I started supply teaching with the OCDSB 2. I got my first LTO position at Robert E. Wilson P.S teaching Gr. 5/6. 3. We went to Hilton Lac Leamy for our 15th year wedding anniversary with the kiddos. 4. Selam and Radney got married!! 5. We took a summer family vacation in Kingston with the WHOLE fam! 6. I returned back to work at CCI. 7. We bought a new house in Manotick. 8. I got promoted as Reception House Co-ordinator. 9. I am still working with EECWIN. 10. Elkanah transitioned out of the crib and into a big girl bed. 11. Neguissie and I went to Nordik Spa. -------------------------------------- So today is actually January 1, 2022 and I can officially conclude this list! Since September, a few things have happened. 12. Our Ford Focus broke down so we purchased a 2016 Mazda3 on Christmas Eve.

Summer Kanata Fun Fair

This was so much FUN! I actually didn't think we would make it into the fair, since the line-up was SOOOOO long! We were trying to think of where else we could take the kids that day, and we ended up making it through the line. But it was so worth it! We all had so much fun :). We went on the marigo-round at least 5 times because it was the only ride we could all go on, the wait time wasn't so bad, and Elkanah didn't cry on it. All the other rides, Elkanah was afraid to go on and she would cry, mostly because we couldn't come on with her (they were only for kids). I'm sure she will have more fun when she gets a bit older....but Ellu really enjoyed it. He went on almost all the rides he was allowed to go on and he had fun!

2021 Kingston Family Vacay

My absolute blessings. When we drove into Kingston, I saw an outlet mall that I wanted to go to when we returned. On our way back to Ottawa, we stopped by and it was much smaller than I thought but they had some pretty sweet deals. I bought 2 winter jackets for $20/each and clothes for the kiddos. I even got some work clothes for myself :) Two of my favourite men. So, about this night...we decided to go out in the town. But no one really knew where to go. We all got in our cars and drove around downtown Kingston. There was absolutely no parking downtown, and since no one had a specific plan to go anywhere, Ori and I wanted to eat dessert somewhere...but we all ended up back at the hotel. There was a decent restaurant at the hotel so we ordered poutine, what we were craving. They didn't have it on the menu but said they would make it for us. This is what it was. Ok, but not the real thing. BEST WESTERN hotel with the kiddos! They had a blast spending time with eachother in our room,

Backyard Gardening

Gardening with Gradma at her house is so much fun!!! Well, even though we didn't plant it, we get to enjoy it :) This is a squash and hot pepper from her garden! Yummy. Elkanah spending quality time with her Grandma! What a blessing.
