Where did this year go???? How has this year flown by before our eyes??? With the blink of an eye, 2020, the much anticipated year with so many plans has flown by and vanished like vapour before our very eyes. What can I say> all I can say is thank you Lord for seeing us through 2020. With the COVID-19 pandemic affecting the whole world, regardless of race, culture, age, gender, socio-economic status or anything else, it came and spread and changed our lives. But we are thankful through it all that God was and continues to be with us, remaining faithful and true. My prayer is that we and I and my family grow more closer to God and lean on him fully and trust him and know that he alone is fully in control. We have no idea what tomorrow will bring, but being mindful that God is in control and we live for him alone. I want to list 20 things for 2020 that I've done, learnt, accomplished and remember: 1.  So, it has been a while since my last post, and reason is it has been quite busy the last several weeks for me. My schedule at work has changed so that I now how to go into the office every other day, which is still amazing because I get the opportunity to spend time at home with my lovely children :). It has also picked up with EECWIN and we are required to put in 10 hrs/week. I'm pretty involved in the mom's viber group and planning the weekly mom's zoom sessions which has been pretty great. We recently did a Secret Mother's Gift Exchange and it was nice for those who participated. For Sunday school, for the month of November, I ran a series called "I am a Child of God" where I invited 3 guest speakers on each Sunday to speak to the kids via zoom on what it means to be a Child of God.     This was Eliakim's first ever visit to the dentist. He is almost 5 years old but I have been reading and asking around and figured early exposure to the dentist at a young age is a good thing to get kids used to being at the dentist and not developing a fear of it. Well, his visit went really well. To my surprise, he did not say a word! He was pretty quiet the entire time and even when I spoke to him and asked him how he was doing, he whispered his responses to me and kept them very brief! And, since we were pretty much the only ones at the dentist's office, all eyes and attention were on him and how adorable and a good boy he was! He made this mama proud!

 It's no doubt that both Eliakim and Elkanah both love the Train. They have been travelling on it and watching it on TV since they were born! So it was obvious that a trip to the Science and Technology Museum was appropriate on a day off when the weather was still nice outside, so that they could explore on their own and use up some of their energy :). I really enjoy having afternoon walks with these two when the weather is nice outside! Also a great way to tire them out so they can sleep nicely! EVERY. THURSDAY. MORNING. ON. GARBAGE. DAY.

  "I live for moments like these." I love these moments where we can spend simple and quality time with just us and the kids. It's nothing fancy or extravagant, but it means so much to our growing family to invest our TIME and energy with them and just be present. I know this is what they will appreciate the most! Quality time with mom and dad :). This was at Andrew Haydon park, one of our favourites in Ottawa, on a Sunday morning.

 This year, like for so many others, is a very different year. And it was wonderful to be able to celebrate my birthday with my family and close friends. Thank you God for your faithfulness and blessing me with health and your peace and love and joy. And the family you gave me.     Hubby decided to take me (and the kids) out for a romantic birthday dinner to the restaurant where we celebrated our 10th year wedding anniversary - Vittoria Tratoria. Well, it was a very different experience with Ellu and Elkana lol! Let's just say the other people at the restaurant did not have a "quiet" dinner hahaha, with Elkanah saying HI HI HI to them all until they said hi in return! And also, the salmon was a bit dry than I remember it a few years ago, but still a nice restaurant. Neguissie loved his spicy macaroni and Eliakim was disappointment that they did not have fries or chicken nuggets lol.
